Week 3 Felix & Kami

This past week Felix lost 1 lb, which he was not expecting. He is totally 6 lbs.
I lost 1.5 pounds for a total of 10 lbs! Yeah, I have about 40 more to go! I need to move some more this week. I haven't been excercising too much, so I think that when I start gaining more muscle mass things will change!

Week 3 Weigh in

How did everyone do?

I lost 1.6 lbs this week. I have not been able to give up the soda yet. I need to get more sleep so I don't feel like I need the caffeine...

Well, we are FINALLY posting something! Things have been going well for us.
So far as of last Sunday I have lost a total of 8.5 pounds! More than anything I'm trying to eat a bit less, more exercise. What a novel idea, I know! I'm finding that ate a lot of empty calories before. Also, I have a goal to drink 8 glasses of water a day. The last thing I'm doing is not eating after 7pm. This week has been a bit more rough for me, but still chugging along.

As for Felix he has lost a total of 6 pounds. He's trying to not eat out as much and cut down soda and sugared drinks.
Felix says that you guys should get prepared to deposit the money in his account, because he is going to win. We'll see about that!

Chrystina - week 2

So, without a gym membership, I managed to lose 2lbs this week by adjusting our diet alone. Even with Kami's attempt at making us eat a lot of Coldstone (which we totally did and it was wonderful!).. haha :)

My grand total weight loss is 2 lbs.

Week 2 weigh in for Mom

Well, I did really well because I lost the 2 pounds that I gained the week before. So I am back to square one. But I actually lost on my Weight Watchers weigh in so its all about timing.

The one thing that I am really noticing as we are eating a lot more fiber at our house is that we are all a lot more gassy and smelly than before. Dad thinks I am trying to kill him. So now I have to give disclaimers on the new foods and feed him more bananas.

How to post a new entry

Don't run away... I promise this is easier than you think!

Login (you will receive an email with the login information)
The login will automatically put you on the “dashboard” page.
Click “New Post”
Type a title in the “Title field”
Type your entire post in the main field
When you are complete, hit “publish post”
Easy Easy! :)

How to add a photo to your post:

click the “add image” icon, which is the small icon that has a picture of a green hill and blue sky. If you hold your mouse over the icons, it will tell you the name of each icon.

You must know the picture/file name or it’s location. It will allow you to browse through your computer. You may add up to 5 photos at one time by clicking the “add another image” button.

I prefer the center layout and “large” image size option, but you may select whichever size you like. It will default if you click nothing.

Click the check box to "agree with terms and conditions" and then click "upload image". The images will load and you may close the small window.

This is where it becomes a little tricky for non-computer users.

Once you have added your picture, you can view it by hitting the “compose” tab that is in the top right hand of the box your text is. To edit where your photo is, you must be on the tab “edit Html”. The picture will be written in Html code. You have to highlight the entire code, then cut and paste where you want it.

Picture Html code starts and ends with <>. It can be really long, sometimes 5 lines long. Make sure you cut and paste the entire code or your picture won't turn out.

Week 1

My weight loss for Week 1--3.2 lbs.

Welcome to The Challenge!

As we have discussed, this blog is for everyone to stay connected and keep up to date with The Teerlink Family Challenge. This will be where we will log our weight loss (weigh ins are on Sundays), share weight loss tips, recipes, and help each other stay motivated to lose a little weight and get healthy! Feel free to share what is working for you, or what challenges you are facing.

Dad, Mom, Kami, Felix, Laura, James, Chrystina, Jared, and Mandy are all participating. Everyone is putting $40 into the pot to make the Grand Prize $360! The winner will be whoever loses the most pounds. Healthy weight loss should be about 2 lbs. per week so even if you only have 20 lbs. or 50 lbs. to lose it should be an even competition for the 12 weeks.

By this point everyone should have had their initial weigh in. Everyone will be posting the pounds lost. (You don't have to reveal your weight unless you want to.) We would like everyone to have their totals posted by 10 PM.
